Mason started Mastercraft Ventures after spending the first 10 years of his career building startups, working with entrepreneurs, and obsessing over startup systems and frameworks. He believes that the best startups are a reflection of the entrepreneur - their habits, values, competitive spirit, thought process, and grit.

Prior to starting Mastercraft Ventures, Mason was the president of a $3M VC-funded software startup, managing director of a nationally-ranked startup accelerator, and an early employee at a $70M VC-funded fintech startup. He’s ridden the highs and lows of the “founder’s roller coaster” and aim to provide value and support to startups beyond a check.

Mason holds a B.S. in Business Management from Iowa State University and completed the Venture Capital and Private Equity Executive Education program at Columbia University
